About Marcus Vane

TheManBehindtheMission.

Entrepreneur. Author. Strategist. Father of three. Builder of enduring institutions.

01 — Biography

From a Garage in Detroit to
the World's Biggest Stages

Marcus Vane started his first company at 24 with $12,000 in savings and a conviction that most organizations were leaving their best thinking on the table. By 30, that company had grown to a team of 300 and been acquired for $180M.

Over the next two decades, he founded four more ventures across logistics, fintech, and enterprise SaaS — each one shaped by a core belief: that great companies are built on clarity of purpose, not complexity of process.

His first book, The Clarity Advantage, spent 47 weeks on the New York Times Business Bestseller list. His subsequent three books have collectively sold over 2.8 million copies in 28 languages.

Today, Marcus advises heads of state, Fortune 100 CEOs, and the next generation of entrepreneurs through his private advisory practice, his online courses, and his podcast, Built to Last.

02 — Philosophy

Five Principles That
Guide Every Decision

01

Clarity Before Scale

Every great company is built on a precise answer to a precise question. Vague strategy produces vague results.

02

People Over Process

Systems are tools. Culture is the operating system. Get the people right and the processes follow.

03

Long-Term Thinking as Competitive Advantage

In a world of quarterly obsession, a 10-year mindset is the rarest and most powerful edge in business.

04

Radical Transparency

The organizations that grow fastest are those where information flows freely — up, down, and sideways.

05

Execution as a Discipline

Strategy without execution is fantasy. The discipline of follow-through separates good ideas from great companies.

04 — Personal Manifesto
"I don't believe in overnight success. I believe in the compounding return of doing the right thing, consistently, over a very long time. Every company I've built started with a simple question: what does the world need that it doesn't yet have? Answer that honestly, and everything else is just execution."
